What a Session May Look Like
Sessions may take place virtually or in a child’s home depending on location and availability. In-home sessions may be available in select communities depending on scheduling.
Sessions are interactive and guided by each child’s interests and communication style. Activities may include drawing, shared visuals, simple games, stories, videos, or conversations around topics the child enjoys. Visual supports and collaborative activities help children explore language and practice communication in a natural way.
Depending on the child’s needs, sessions may focus on speech clarity, expanding language, supporting literacy, using AAC, or building confidence in conversation.
Parents are often involved as well. I share strategies that can be used at home so communication practice becomes part of everyday routines.
Each session is tailored to the child’s needs, attention, and interests.
Communication development often involves collaboration between families, educators, and other professionals. When helpful, I can connect with a child’s existing team to share strategies and support communication across home, school, and community settings.
